DEATH UNNOTICED
Dark smooths the naive
splinters of light,
Hardly a prick
before the body breaks
under heavy wetness.
Suffocation coming, lungs panic to close
While black concrete seeps around his form.
All feelings encrust-ed.
It works to customize,
A perfect personal coffin
Nails worse than failure
Buried deep and seem to creep.
With pain, draining him
Through punctures & holes
Seeps his blood & soul.
Creating a river of anguish for all life's debris
Fielded & floated on so many cards discarded
His mind flashes on its own
Heading off in death's true direction
While his doomed breath
Exhale all his affections of hope
Since no one knows to miss him,
Or that he met his end with hate or love,
With happiness or sadness,
Did even say goodbye?, to anyone?,,
Anyone worthwhile?
His last view a smile?
For endless hours
After the world ended
In the thick and hard,
A last thought is not mustered.
Spent too much time
Trying a futile escape,
and forgot to live.
Now, only moments before
The body & mind unfied in futility,
One voiceless scream;
"Damn!!", here I go, alone, unheard?"
......Fade-ness, a last whisper-"--
""of existence and then nothing.
