There is a difference between not facing reality & not accepting someone else's implied reality , or one they only mean to impose on another.  

For instance, there are many ways to make a living & even an underlying ideology to do so.

It is not the door of nothingness (an entry into nothingness) it is the escape of everything not within.

So, though I believe in people, in humanity, its potential,, in an aggregate way, well, surprise is always welcomed by me, since it is the fore drop of never being surprised. In this case, experiencing warm sentiments as to one’s concern for another, & mostly a stranger to boot!, very neat :) Concern for another arising dependently with lack of concern for others, only event/action creates the proper/momentary perspective, allowing for human appreciation to be felt, the application/enjoyment of self-consciousness if you were. So thanks for that. (by self-consciousness, I do not mean a feeling of an undue awareness of oneself, but rather,, being aware of one’s own existence as existence. For humans, the awareness of one’s existence is truly due, & by existence I do not mean that which objectively persists independent of one's presence, since that objectivity would be an oxymoron, & the independence a typical human delusion)
